Aleksandar Tišma from Novi Kneževac participated in the first IPARD Public Call for new machinery and is one of the first recipients paid. He received IPARD support for investments in the purchase of a new seeder and seed drill machinery. Aleksandar established a very good cooperation with the Agricultural Advisory Service and was an active participant in all winter schools and educational workshops, seminars and study trips on the topic of agriculture. He inspires other producers in his community to this cooperation, according to him, the key is the timely information. At the one of the IPARD workshops, he overcame the prejudice that IPARD subsidies are difficult to obtain, and he decided to submit an application. He is very satisfied that he bought a new seeder and seed drill machinery, which he could not afford with his personal funds.
Aleksandar inherited the farm property from his grandfather. After graduating from secondary agricultural school, he chose agriculture as his life’s vocation and expanded the farm from 10 to 80 hectares, which he currently cultivates.
